Animated clip: Extinction in the tropics and the origin of modern rainforests

I produced and directed a paper-cut animation that explains what happened to tropical vegetation after the end-Cretaceous catastrophe.

This project, designed to be in both English and Spanish (#SeHablaEspañol), is the result of an interdisciplinary collaboration between paleobiologists, anthropologists, and visual artists. This video is part of a broader impacts initiative for NSF project EAR-1829299.

Book Chapter:
Hace Tiempo. Las Hojas

In 2017, I wrote a chapter on leaf fossils for the book ‘Hace Tiempo’.

This book describes paleontological research done in Colombia and was specifically written for middle- and high-school students in public institutions. Over 1000 copies of the book were distributed free of charge, to public schools around the country.
